Discover the virtual Finlandia Park

Now you can visit Finlandia Park virtually. The plans for the southern part of the Park are about to be completed and this is what it could look like – once the trees have grown. Preliminary construction will be started this autumn. The parks in the southern part will be completed in 2012. Click picture to enter.

This sort of interactive virtual presentation is first of its kind on the City of Helsinki pages. Our aim is to expand the model, and maybe in the future offer the possibility of visiting also some of the interiors of the buildings in the Park.

The construction of Helsinki Music Centre is also well advanced. The future blocks along the railway line are very important when discussing both the Central Library and Aalto University. The planning of the temporary pedestrian and bicycle way connecting Töölönlahti bay and Jätkäsaari is well on its way. The passage will be built in the railway pit during 2010-2011.
